For those of us who don’t want animal products in our pockets, finding a vegan-friendly wallet brand can be tricky. Fortunately, there are many options available. Faux leather, metal, and even cork wallets are available for you, on all sorts of budgets.

At $49.99, it’s a bit pricier than the Kryptek, but it comes with the quality and warranty you expect from a Trayvax wallet.

The Trayvax Original 2.0 wallet is tough, made out of fiberglass, metal and paracord. No animals were harmed in the making of this wallet. But it doesn’t need animal products to be tough, durable or stylish. It comes in different colors, from sleek black to snazzy blue, and it can hold up to 15 cards. It has a front-pocket design, and is TSA-approved. The aircraft-quality aluminum and stainless steel make this wallet nearly indestructible. It has improved grip, and will keep all your cards safe with its RFID protection. It even has an ID window, so you can easily show the bartender that you’re of age. Cork:
There are many brands of cork wallets on the market. The top cork wallet brand is Corkor, with their most expensive wallet being $54.50. They are inexpensive, and vegan, but they are not the most durable wallets on the market. With cork being a natural, porous material, it’s understandable that their warranty only lasts two years, but that short warranty is something to think about.
Faux Leather:
One of the cheapest faux-leather wallets out there is the Goodfellow & Co. wallet, from Target. It blocks RFID to keep your cards and data safe, and contains no animal products. This wallet comes in trifold and extra capacity sizes, to fit your needs. It can be returned to any Target within a year of purchase, with receipt. Do bear in mind, however, that faux leather is actually plastic, which can cause microplastics to enter the environment.
Metal:
There are many metal wallets out there, but one of the best is the ARW. It is sold on Amazon for $20.99, has RFID protection, and is cruelty-free. It’s made of carbon fiber and has a removable clip; in case you want it to be thinner. The only downside is, well, Amazon. They’re not the most environmentally friendly or sustainable company in the world.
Canvas:
Like shopping bags, wallets can be made out of canvas too. Bungalow 360 has a canvas wallet available for purchase for $19.50. It comes in a number of fun patterns, from sharks to sloths. The proceeds go to animal charities, so you can feel good purchasing this wallet. Unfortunately, they only ship domestically, unless you go through Amazon. If you want a fun wallet, though, this is a good choice.
Duct Tape:
There are instructions online about making your own wallet out of duct tape. This is fun, and you’ll know exactly what’s going into it, since you made it. But it has no warranty, doesn’t last very long, and like the faux leather, is made mostly of plastic. In my opinion, you should leave the wallet-making to the experts.
