5 Things to Buy for 10 Days Inside

“Stay safe” has quickly replaced the friendly phrase “have a nice day.” So for all the people out there with their ears open, missing their daily well wishes… HAVE A NICE DAY!

Our world is changing quickly as we scramble to fill our pantry with good food and enough board games to pass this time spent indoors. We want to focus on a few items to buy, things to consider and potential projects to take on in order for this time spent inside to be as pleasurable as possible.  Surviving hard times  can be a struggle but also a grand opportunity to expand upon your long list of skills.

Being creative is a skill that needs to be worked on, fine-tuned and routinely practiced. This is a great opportunity to brainstorm new skills to learn, maybe building something that can be used for years to come or tackling a lengthy to-do list.

We love hearing from our loyal customers… What are your best tips for hunkering down inside?

Invest in Time Consumers: Books, Games and Puzzles

Playing board games is a great way to pass the time as this storm passes. Although it can be daunting, there is a pleasure in being confined to a space. If you're not feeling comfortable in yours,  maybe it's time to rearrange your home. It's a productive way to pass the time and shift the stale energy in the space.

Playing games is one of the most entertaining parts about staying inside for long periods of time. Make sure to stock up on a few decks of cards, some dice and your favorite table games. We love to play Yahtzee, Monopoly & Risk - what are some of your favorites?

Cook Amazing Meals: Stock up on your favorite food & try something new

Try a new recipe or remake some of your old favorites, we suggest both! Let’s face it, the kitchen is where teamwork thrives. Everyone in the place is contributing from prepping ingredients to washing the dishes, make sure to be a team player.

That means stocking up on your favorite foods and a wide variety of different meals. Have you thought about making a homemade pizza, what are your favorite toppings?

Stocking up & Caring For Yourself

Make sure to have plenty of supplies based on your personal necessities, for example, if you wear contacts make sure to have plenty of solution. Don't forget about self care during this time. Taking a hot shower or indulging in a bath can go a long way. Also how much water have you drank today, keeping a big water bottle within reach is essential.

Commit to workout gear!

Staying in shape while feeling trapped inside may seem like a lost battle. Just as you experimented with your pizza toppings it is time to get creative about working out. Whether it is a push up challenge or participating in a virtual yoga class make sure to move those bones.

Buy Creative “Tools”

Chances are you already have tackled the to-do list or maybe you are procrastinating as we speak. Make sure to supply yourself with the right tools to learn something new, this could be buying a blank canvas, and some colored pencils. Try to learn that instrument collecting dust in the corner of the room.

Have you started your spring cleaning? Having less stuff, taking a minimalist approach to life makes it easier. We have plenty of fun Youtube content like the video below, basic tutorials on how to clean leather, and endless blogposts to keep you entertained for days on end!

Bottom line get creative, do not let boredom win the fight.

Summary:
-Time consumers: games, book, puzzles
-Cooking meals: try baking something new
-Stock up & prioritize yourself
-Workout gear: move that body!
-Supplies for a creative project
